I'm thankful for the financial security and blessing we have enjoyed in our little family over the years. And extended family, for that matter. In a very uncertain economic climate none of us have been directly affected. That's not to say crisis isn't coming, of course; no way to really know. But we've been very fortunate thus far, and all indications are positive.
My heart is heavy for all the families who struggle financially; I pray that my family will always be willing to help, and that my children will grow up with an understanding of their good fortune which spurs them toward generous compassion.
