Siblings

Lots of people have asked me if Cameron and Spencer look alike. I sure think so, but see for yourself. They are about the same age in these photos. I was struck by how chubby he seems next to her. But I think it's mainly because she is long. She measured in the 90th percentile for height at her 2 month checkup last week, which means she is longer than 90% of her peers. In his first year Spencer was always average length but a little above average weight, so she is much more stretched out than he was.

I did not pose them, by the way. That position is due to a reflex common to young babies. It's called the 'Fencer's Reflex" cuz they kinda look like they are about to say 'En guarde!" Like several other weird baby behaviors, it goes away in a few months.

I don't have a clue why my babies have punk rock hair. I can only tell you that it has a will of its own and refuses to be tamed. I find it endearing at this stage, but can only hope that Cameron's eventually calms down. Spencer's hair is pretty normal now so I'm not too worried.
